1. Who runs this website
This website is run by Carol Hawkins, a Tarot reader and medium working as a sole trader in Washington State, USA. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean Carol. The website was built and is maintained by MyWebTone, which may help me manage website enquiries.
2. What information is collected
Through the contact form you give your name, email address, the type of enquiry, your message, and your agreement to this policy. The enquiry email also shows when it was sent.
You don't need an account, and you can't book or pay through this website. Bookings and payments are arranged directly with me.
The website itself doesn't record your IP address, device or location. However, the services that host the website, deliver emails and supply the fonts may keep standard technical records, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit, as part of running their services.
To stop the same message being sent repeatedly, the website briefly remembers the email address used and when it was sent. This is used only for a short repeat-message check and isn't stored permanently.
3. Please keep your message brief
Please don't include medical details, information about how someone passed away, or other very personal information. I only need a brief message to help arrange your reading. If you do include personal details, I'll use them only to reply to you, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.
4. How your information is used
Your information is used only to reply to your enquiry, to arrange a reading if you'd like one, to keep a record of our conversation, and to protect the website from spam. I don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list.
5. Services that help run this website
- Lovable, the website platform: hosts the website, processes the contact form and delivers enquiry emails.
- Google Fonts: supplies the lettering styles on this website (see section 9).
- My email provider: receives and stores enquiries.
These services handle information to provide their service and have their own privacy policies. I may also share information if the law requires it.
6. Where information is processed
I'm based in the United States, but these services operate internationally. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries.
7. How long information is kept
I aim to keep enquiry emails for no longer than 12 months after our last contact, and I review my inbox regularly to delete older messages. I may keep something longer if it's needed to resolve a complaint or meet a legal requirement. Deleted emails may stay in a provider's backups for a short time. Technical records kept by the services above follow their own policies.
8. Your choices
You can ask me to tell you what information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Please use the contact form and choose "General Question". I may need to confirm it's really you, and I'll reply as soon as I can. Depending on where you live, you may have extra rights under local law.
9. Cookies and fonts
This website doesn't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies of its own. The lettering styles are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. Because the site doesn't track visitors, it doesn't respond differently to "Do Not Track" signals.
10. Children
Readings are for adults aged 18 and over. This website isn't intended for children, and I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you think a child has sent me information, please let me know and I'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
